Povile is a small village in the immediate vicinity of
Novi Vinodolski, almost connected to Grabrova, the eastern part of Novi. Povile is situated between the capes of St. Magdalene and Teplo, its older part is north of, the newly built and still building part is south of the main road, the Magistral.
While there are no hotels in Povile and the bungalow resort is now abandoned, there is a plenty of accommodation offers by family-run apartment-buildings and by the two campsites. Everyday shopping is possible in local grocery stores, and the restaurants and bars along the Magistral are glad to welcome guests.

The beaches are the main attractions in Povile - they are both refreshing and relaxing when compared to the overcrowded beaches of Novi Vinodolski. Bathing and swimming is possible on both larger and more intimate beaches between the Punta and the harbor, these beaches are gravel. Sun and sea lovers find concrete sunbathing terraces with artificial entrances to the water south of the harbor, followed by a section of rocky coast to the east. Further great ambience awaits bathers who visit the Mala Draga Bay, situated a mere 500 m east of Povile, accessible by car.
